Web Based Study Aids                                                                                                                  Study aids have been developed in these pages to augment the construction management study.  The study aid is mainly intended to appraise the reader about the computer application in the field of construction project management. It is assumed that the reader has some experience in project management.  The areas related to computer based tasks are mainly discussed. The topics are listed herein and  links are provided in the left.

Project Management Software:                                                                      Present day project management heavily depends on software systems.  Text books of construction management do not always provide proprietary information about software systems in construction management.  In addition, a web based document is essential so that the reader may visit the developers' site interactively.  Therefore, a project management software guide has been provided.  More than fifty project management related software has been discussed in an e-note. The links to the developer's website have also been provided. 

Collaboration Practice Data                                                                              Some of the open source software like achievo and dotproject that has been discussed in previous sections are also uploaded as working versions.  A reader may use these software as trials. Secondly, a web based spreadsheet intended for time-cost optimization is provided.  An example problem has been created. The reader may download REAnalysis, use it for cost estimating and edit data in this practice problem.  Finally, a site diary module is provided to record site activities. Links are provided in the left. Use the username and password as stated in the left for the respective software.

Projectpedia                                                                                                              It is hoped that the users shall also contribute to enrich the site for others.  A wiki for project management has been established. The wiki has been started with few entries. Readers are welcome to contribute to the wiki.
